Virus has blocked internet access

I haven't added or updated anything today and it was cool this AM. I went to firewall access and removed then re-added it back in and re-started. Note: I updated to new Edge a week or so ago when it asked me to. Is there a problem with the update? This thread is locked. Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. I have not tried any fixes yet. So I'm just using Chrome for now. I've been on the "new" version of Facebook for a little while now.

I did update Edge, I think. I believe there was a pop up about a week ago that I clicked on and agreed to update. But Edge was working fine up until yesterday. However, firewalls can block your Wi-Fi and prevent you from connecting to the Internet.

Firewall or antivirus software may have blocked the connection. This is a serious problem. So, what should you do to remove the blocked Internet access error? Just do by following these solutions below. The first thing you should do is to eliminate other possible reasons for this Internet issue. Firewall and antivirus are configured to prevent potentially harmful programs from entering your system. Sometimes your browser, email client, etc are not added to the firewall exceptions list.

So, you need to check firewall and antivirus configurations. Here, we take the Windows Firewall as an example. If you want to turn Windows Firewall for Windows 10 on or off, this post will tell you all the steps and show you a great alternative to Windows Firewall. Sometimes a firewall or antivirus blocks Internet access since you meddled with the implemented firewall on your own or a particular update changed something.
